At our school children explore the world around them in their own unique ways, find what sparks their interest and devote as much time as they see fit to these topics.
They are submerged in the environment that supports and encourages their own unique path to discovering their passions.
We have adopted the democratic educational paradigm of the Sudbury Valley School model, believing children's own interests and motivations lead them to the best path of growing, learning and becoming their most glorious selves.

The role of teachers is to notice the sparks of interest in students and help feed these sparks into fires.

Maila has over eight years of teaching experience both internationally and in Canada. With an open heart and open mind, she welcomes all children to come and play, learn, grow and laugh in an environment that promotes self-exploration, curiosity and self-awareness.

We are a member of European Democratic Education Community, which is a community of nearly 100 democratic schools throughout Europe. People have been attending democratic schools in Europe since 1921 with great success. The Sudbury Valley School has been offering their creative learning and growth environment to their students since 1968 and their graduates grant significant credit of their success in life to the educational experience they have gained while attending SVS.
